Parade of Lights, Part 2 of 4
(15X30 canvase; Acrylic Medium)
In the second of 4 lessons in this series, Jerry finishes construction of the buildings with a dynasty brush making sure to vary the sizes of the buildings, the height and location of skyscrapers and closely observing & manipulating the negative space between the structures. The use of eye stoppers is critical in this painting as with landscapes to control the focus on the city, as is the placement of script brush trees along the shoreline and overlapping some of a few of the building silhouette. As Jerry creates the horizon line of buildings, he duplicates their shape and negative space as a reflection in the water.
