Just wanted to thank you for sharing the talent God gave you with us. I've watched your program when you were painting with oils. I believe you were in Texas at the time. I can't remember, it's been awhile. I lost touch with your show, and now I'm able to get it on the Create channel thru my local PBS station. I've just started to get back into painting last year since I have become disabled and cannot work. Your show has been a major blessing to me because it has given me the tools and inspiration to break out the pallet again. I love painting Florida scenes since I have been born and raised here. The only problem I'm having is painting cabbage palm and cypress trees. Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again, and God bless!
Thank you for your kind words! We do have materials about fronds and trees on our website via DVD and/or Yarnell School Online.
God Bless you, Stay Inspired, and Keep Painting!

I learned a great amount from you, you helped me find my passion in life. I want to thank you again, and I wish to meet you one day and show you some of my paintings.

Thank you for the excellent instructions on CREATE PBS. I have learned more from you than I learned in two years of college in the late 1950's. Am trying to re-start painting as a hobby and do appreciate your instructions. A big help. GOD bless you. Bill

I am just getting started with these lessons and am enjoying them. Is it possible to purchase a print of the picture that the lesson is on? I would love to have a copy of the reference painting to refer to. Thank you and may God Bless!

Jerry, I recently retired from a very stressful job in the pharma industry and wanted to get back into painting. I hadn't painted for over 20 years. I was having a awful time ... many mistakes and do-overs. You have helped me "enjoy" the creative process again! Thank you!!! I watch every episode and record them for future reference. My request is that you please do a portrait!!!

Just wishing you and Donna a blessed day. Now in Florida, I miss watching your Saturday programs. I absolutely LOVED the Sedona Red Rocks painting that you did. (I lived 15 miles from Sedona for 10 years and was blessed to actually see those red rocks with snow! Who would have ever thought Arizona would get snow? Blessings always

Since watching your show on pbs, I now view my surrounding in light, dark, shadows, color. I no longer see just the object or scene, rather broken down into the for mentioned. I am constantly pausing the tv when I see something inspirational and break it down, with the excited reality that I could paint it as a result of looking at it through different eyes. Thank you

Thank you for your weekly lessons brought to us by channel 8 through Carbondale, Illinois, our educational channel. I get inspired and educated in techniques on how to do acrylic painting. Love the latest painting of the cowboys and chuck wagon. I record every one of your lessons and watch them over and over. A wonderful outreach and ministry you have.

I WATCHED THE COWBOYS IN YELLOW SLICKERS AND CAMPFIRE EPISODE. LOVED IT. WHEN I LIVED IN HAWAII ON THE BIG TSLAND I LEFT THE WINERY TO WALK HOME. IT WAS FOGGY AND RAINY JUST LIKE YOUR PAINTING. OFF IN THE DISTANCE ON THE RANCH THREE RIDERS IN YELLOW SLICKERS RODE OUT OF THE FOG, SLICKERS FLYING BEHIND THEM AND THEN DISAPPEARING INTO THE FOG AGAIN. IF ONLY I HAD MY CAMERA WITH ME. YOUR PAINTING SEEMED LIKE IT WAS PART OF THOSE THREE COW BOYS RIDING HARD THROUGH THE FOG. THAT IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE MEMORIES OF THE BIG ISLAND.
Love your story. Thank you for sharing!

Correction to TV time in Minnesota: in St Paul it is TPT3 at 7:30 am (not pm) on Friday. It has been at this time for many years. Alternative mediums: I have avoided oil paints for many years due to the odors of linseed oil and turpentine. I recently took a local class and they used walnut oil and Gamsol, neither of which had any odor, and were considered safe. This was required at their school since they also had classes for kids. I have watched your show for many years and always enjoy it. I learn something new with every painting. Love it!

I love to paint but I would like to paint well!. I joined YSO and have learned a lot. I am trying to get to a class in Oklahoma for some instruction this year. Your instruction, videos and books are wonderful! Thank you for taking time to help those of us that love the feel of a paint brush in our hand even though we aren't great.

I am starting painting again after several years. I lost my wife in November to cancer and it is my hope that painting some of the many beautiful places we visited is a way to remember her and also the God we both serve.

I love open cockpit, bi-wing aircraft. How about painting a landscape, making the sky more prominent, or even using a sky-down perspective, and feature one or two bi-planes.

Jerry and group, May God bless you and your ministry. I love the "Paint This . . ." show and am learning lots now that I'm retired. The viewing schedule posted here does not match when I actually see the show, which seems to vary from one to three days a week on PBS/Create. I also didn't leave a note with the local affiliate because I seemed to get a computer virus when I left a comment recently for another PBS. Maybe I will call. I will pray for you and your family and your group and your ministry! Thank you for sharing your talent
We recommend you verify viewing times with your network. Network schedules change often, and despite our best efforts -- we find it impossible to consistently mirror-image our website to the numerous networks which air Paint This With Jerry Yarnell®

I'm a beginner, and have much to learn . love the TV shows and the YouTube videos. but I'm not getting any better .I could use a detailed video for the absolute beginner that teaches how to see colors .I have a problem matching colors I see to colors I mix. I'm missing something in my way of looking at a scene or My perspective ? any recommendations?

I have been viewing your program on TV for awhile. I like the new more comprehensive painting demonstration sessions. A standout for me was the cowboy chuck wagon in the rain demo but the other sessions have also been highly instructive. Keep it up, please.Yours, John M.
